)--It doesn’t seem that long ago, says the retiring Barry Zane, that he and Brandwise’s
president, Todd Litzman strategized about the direction of Showroom Solutions, Inc.
(which merged with Brandwise in March, 2005) while shooting hoops in their neighboring
residential driveways. Their concept turned into realty while configuring their
first job in a cold basement back in 1999.
Today, their basketball brainstorming and ingenuity, along with a fantastic team
of executives and staff, has grown Brandwise into an international Application Service
Provider (ASP) delivering hosted and distributed software solutions to manufacturers
and their sales channels within several targeted industries, including Gift, Home
Accessories, Furniture and Apparel.
“While I am ‘retiring’ from day-to-day operations of the company I will still be
involved in an executive capacity by retaining my ownership in Brandwise as well
as remain on the board of directors,” said Zane. “I will continue to promote and
sell the Brandwise SalesOptimizer product as an independent sales rep for Brandwise,
not only in our existing sales channels, but in many other industries.”
In addition to being one of the original founders, Zane was the firm’s EVP of sales
and currently sits on the Brandwise board of directors.

has been an incredible experience for me. I look forward to continuing the relationships
that I have made with so many customers that I call friends,” said Zane.

Now that’s getting closer to what people refer to as “retirement”.
