Prosepecting
The Prospecting module
provides vendors with a vessell to deliver hot sales prospects to reps in the
field who, in turn, get a reliable way to report account successes without
picking up a phone or sending a fax.
The key to successful use of Prospecting is accurate updates to the
account status in the module by both rep and vendor. Everyone is apprised of
progress on a lead with just a few keystrokes. To help vendors and salespeople
better understand the flow of an account from prospect to close, Brandwise is
happy to supply the below glossary of status definitions.
Glossary of Terms
Assigned to Rep- The vendor has generated a prospect for the rep to follow up.
Active- The rep has attempted to contact the prospect.
Activation Request- An order has been placed for this prospect with a rep. The
vendor will approve the request and match it to a customer account.
Activation Complete- The vendor had confirmed an activation request and mapped
it to an account.
Inactive- The prospect is not yet qualified to buy or the rep will contact them
in the future.
Pending- A prospect that has not yet been assigned to one rep.
By keeping each prospect status current, both sales rep and the vendor have easy
visibility into the conversion of leads into new customers. For further

The Credit Screen
More than just a display of
current balance and credit limit, the credit display also outlines available
credit terms and other key info on an account.
Sales staff should find this screen to be an invaluable pre-appointment
resource, helping to qualify candidates for increased spending, or to assist the
manufacturer recoup long overdue dollars within their terrirtory. Visible is a
complete picture of any past due balance breakdown as well as the last date and
amount of a payment.
The Credit Screen, accessed by locating an account on the My Accounts tab and
clicking the "Credit" link, delivers the most comprehensive view of a customer's
credit-related info. |
Orders & Ships Tab
The quickest way to get
complete booked and shipped details is on the Order & Ships tab at the top of
SalesOptimizer. However, beyond this immediate access to order and shipped order
history, sales reps and customer service can pull additional helpful
information.
Sales can keep their clients up to date not only on their order status, but
particularly which items on an order have shipped, or even what products may
have been back ordered. For retailers calling about items that have not yet
shipped, reps can remain up to date with cancelled SKU information. They can
even see shipping carrier details such as which service was used and the
tracking number associated with the order. From a customer service standpoint,
the Orders & Ships tab also keeps information that might normally be found
across several sources.
Ultimately, the information that is provided at the surface level of the Orders
& Ships tab can keep retailer interaction with the reps and customer service
efficient, and help salespeople make their appointments more informed thereby
adding value for any customer base.
